Information in English
Fjellstedt Centre for Science and Theology at the Fjellstedt School Foundation delivers continuing education and advanced learning at the intersection of science and theology. Our programmes include courses, seminars, tailored continuing-education programmes offered across Sweden, as well as digital learning materials and resources.
Our overarching purpose is to serve the Church, science, and society by fostering a deeper integration of scientific knowledge and the wisdom of Scripture, for the flourishing of the human family and all creation.
The Centre is led by its director, Martin Sahlén, associate professor in astronomy, together with a Steering Committee comprising bishop Erik Eckerdal (chair), Leif Nordenstorm (director of the Fjellstedt School Foundation), Sven-Erik Brodd (professor emeritus in ecclesiology), and Sara Wrige (PhD in physics, priest in the Church of Sweden).
We collaborate with Uppsala University, Johannelund School of Theology, and the Newman Institute; the academic network Nordic Network on Science, Theology and Worldviews; and the international ECLAS project at Durham University in the United Kingdom and Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, Poland.
For more information or to discuss possible collaboration, please contact director Martin Sahlén, martin.sahlen @ fjellstedtska.se, 018-16 11 16
